FAQ

What are preorders?

Preorders are items that we offer that we do not have on hand. These items are custom made and/or purchased as you order. Preorders vary on arrival depending on our vendors turn around time.

Preorders can not be returned and/or exchanged.

Where are you located?

We are located in Christopher, Illinois. We are mainly an online boutique, but we do open up our small shop a few times a year to shop in person. You can follow us on our Facebook page to know when we open up the shop for in-person shopping.

We also do pop-up events which is another great time to shop with us in person. You can find our event schedule on our Facebook page or here on the website under "Events". 

 Shipping

We offer a flat rate of $6.50 for shipping in the US only. Please allow 3-5 business days to package and ship your order. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your package is taken to the post office. All items are shipped ground through USPS.

Rewards

Earn rewards while you shop with us! Earn points for each order you place, earn points for signing up, on your birthday, and if you refer a friend! Points can be cashed in for Rusty Roof Cash to get money off your order!

How do I know my order is ready?

We will email you once your order is ready for pick up along with all pick up instructions. 

What are the pick up hours?

Pick up hours are 7 days a week from 8am-8pm. This excludes Holidays or if we have bad weather. Please check our Facebook page to make sure pick up isn't cancelled. 

How soon do I need to pick up?

Please pick up your items within 21 days of receiving your pick up email. If items sit out longer we can and will take items out of the bin and only refund half of your order. We can not allow items to sit in there for months as we run out of room for others. We will email you a last warning before doing so. You can always pay for shipping if you can not make the time to pick up your items. 

Do you deliver? 

No, we do not offer delivery. 

 

Returns & Exchanges

Returns

Non-Local: Returns are excepted within 14 days of receiving your order. You must email us at rustyroofboutique@gmail.com to receive a return inquiry.

Local: Returns are excepted within 7 days of pick up. You must email us at rustyroofboutique@gmail,com to receive a return inquiry. 

Rusty Roof Boutique ONLY offers store credit for returns. We do not refund back to your original method of payment. Items MUST be in original condition. We will only accept returns if items are unwashed, unworn, undamaged, unaltered, and have all tags still properly attached. 

Exchanges

Rusty Roof Boutique offers exchanges for the same item in a different size when we are notified for a request within 14 days. Please email us for an exchange inquiry. Please also take note that we can not guarantee that the item will be available in the color and/or size you are needing as we have limited quantity. 

For those who are non-local, you will be responsible for getting the item shipped back to us as directed in the inquiry. Once we receive your item(s) and have approved the return or exchange, we will email you in regards to the status of your inquiry. 

Locals, you will be responsible for bringing the item(s) back to us as directed in the inquiry. Once we receive your item(s) and have approved the return or exchange, we will email you in regards to the status of your inquiry.

Defective Items

We inspect all items before listing them on the website as well as before we package them. However, there is always a chance we missed a damaged piece. If you believe you have received a damaged or defective item, please email us for an inquiry. We will be happy to refund you or exchange your item.

DROPSHIPPING ITEMS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE 

How long will my return/exchange take?

Please allow 48-72 hours for a response to your email regarding an inquiry. Once we receive the inquiry form back and it has been approved we will begin the refund or exchange process.

Please allow 2-3 days for us to initiate the refund after approval.

Please allow 2-3 days for us to initiate the exchange after approval AND after receiving the original piece back. 

This only includes business days. Weekends and Holidays are excluded from our time. 

 

 

Shipping Info

How long does it take?

Please allow us 3-5 business days to package your order and get it taken to the post office. This time excludes weekends and Holidays. 

How are my items shipped?

All orders are shipped ground mail through USPS. 

How will I know my order has been shipped?

Once your order has been taken to the post office, you will receive an email with tracking to track your order. 

*Once items are taken to the post office, they are no longer in our hands and we are no longer responsible for the time of delivery. If there are any issues regarding the delivery of your items, please contact USPS regarding your tracking status, as well as emailing us and we will do our best to fix the situation.
